Jackson Fatal Motor Vehicle Accident Details Released
JACKSON–An accident this morning on Route 195 in Jackson Township claimed the life of 27 year old Carl Henninger of Cranbury, NJ. Adam Grossman, a spokesperson for the New Jersey State Police said the accident is still under investigation, but it appears Henninger, who was traveling eastbound on Route 195, lost control of his vehicle near mile marker 23.7 at approximately 10:48 a.m.
Henninger’s Chevy Lumina the crossed over the grass median into oncoming traffic in the westbound lane when it struck a car driven by 22 year old Jennifer Balka. Henninger was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. Ms. Balka was transported to Jersey Shore Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
The accident is still under investigation by the New Jersey State Police, according to Grossman, with assistance from the Hamilton Township Police Department and the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office.
Jackson Police Sgt. Christopher Parise said Route 195 was closed from Route 195 in Howell Township to Exit 22 in Jackson Township during the investigation. The Jackson Mills Volunteer Fire Company and Jackson’s Station 55 also responded to the accident.
