Fire Destroys garage in Toms River

TOMS RIVER– At 1:00 a.m., Sunday,  Toms River  police responded to a structure fire at 654 Bay Avenue.    According to Officer Matthew Broderick, an unoccupied garage was fully engulfed upon his arrival.

The 18′ by 12′ garage collapsed prior to the arrival of firefighters from Toms River Fire Companies 1 & 2 and the East Dover Fire Company.   There were no injuries reported and the fire is under investigation by the Toms River Bureau of Fire Prevention.
