Jackson Police Blotter: Friday, Jan 18, 2013

JACKSON-  A business owner located on East Pleasant Grove Road made a report of a known suspect who had entered the business without permission and stole two chainsaws which were valued at $2,000.00.  A 34 year old male suspect was identified and later arrested for the incident.  He was charged with Burglary and Theft and was processed at police headquarters.  He was released pending a court date after posting bail on the charges.

Man Arrested on Warrant

A 21 year old male was arrested at a residence on Lenape Trail on an outstanding warrant out of Jackson Township.  He was processed and released after posting bail.

Man & Woman Arrested at Woodlane Park, Smoking Marijuana

While conducting a check of Woodlane Park at approximately 11:00pm, an officer observed a 1999 Toyota occupied by two people in the parking lot.

While speaking with the occupants to advise them that the park was closed, the odor of marijuana was detected.  During an investigation, officers arrested a 38 year old male resident of Jackson and charged him with Possession of Marijuana.  He was processed at police headquarters and released pending a court date.  An 18 year old female resident of Lakewood who was in the vehicle was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Tinton Falls.  She was processed and released after posting bail.
