Freezing Weather Brings New Problems to Sandy Affected Areas of Toms River

TOMS RIVER–Toms River Police Chief Michael Mastronardy said tonight that his department had responded to 36 water leak incidents as a result of the past week’s cold weather. Six incidents occurred in Ortley Beach, eleven in North Beach ten in East Dover and Seven in Silverton. “Almost all of the homes were vacant,” Mastonardy said. “either as vacation homes or vacant due to Sandy.”
