Man Stabbed Three Times in Toms River Apartment
TOMS RIVER–Early Sunday morning, Toms River Police responded to a stabbing incident in the apartment complex on Presidential Boulevard. The incident occurred at 1:30 am. “The victim, a 19 year old Toms River man, got into a verbal argument with another male who he was hanging out with when that male stabbed him with a kitchen knife three times in the stomach,” according to Toms River Police Chief Michael Mastronardy.
The victim was transported to Jersey Shore Trauma center where he underwent emergency surgery early Sunday morning.
Officer Victor Tamaro, a short time after the incident located the suspect, Alexander Ratych 19, of Presidential Boulevard at his apartment where the incident apparently took place, the chief told the Ocean Signal today.
Alexander Ratych was held in Ocean County Jail on $35,000 no 10% after being charged with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
Detective John Bajcic and Ocean County Sheriff’s Department are investigating this incident.
