7 Arrested in Ocean County Drug Bust; Police Seize Guns, Drugs
TOMS RIVER–Ocean County Prosecutor Marlene Lynch Ford announced today the culmination of an investigation into drug activity in the Ocean County area.
On February 8, 2013 Detectives from the Prosecutor’s Special Operations Group along with members of the Lakewood Township Police Department and the Brick Township Police Department obtained and executed search warrants for residences located at 1200 Jeffrey Street Lakewood NJ and 1405 Marshall Street, Lakewood NJ. Police also executed search warrants on two vehicles, specifically, a 2006 Gray Hyundai Sonata and a 2003 silver Mercury sedan. The aforementioned residences and vehicles were identified as being utilized to facilitate this drug distribution operation. As a result of the search warrants police seized a quantity of cocaine, heroin, marijuana and pills. Police also seized approximately $1000 in cash. Police also recovered two handguns specifically a loaded Beretta .380 caliber semi- automatic pistol and a Davis Industries .380 caliber semi-automatic pistol. The .380 caliber Davis Industries handgun had also been defaced in an attempt to avoid identification by law enforcement. Also seized as a result of the search warrants were materials associated with the packaging and distribution of CDS.
The following individual(s) were arrested and charged as a result of the search warrant executed at 1200 Jeffrey Street, Lakewood NJ:
Raheem Montgomery age 19 of 1200 Jeffrey Street, Lakewood NJ. Mr. Montgomery was charged with possession of possession of CDS (Xanax Pills), possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest. The Honorable Superior Court Judge James Blaney JSC. set bail for Mr. Montgomery at $20,000 no ten percent.
Xavier Nieves age 19 of 190 Santa Cruz Road, Tuckerton NJ. Mr. Nieves was charged with possession of cocaine under one half ounce with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a loaded defaced firearm specifically a .380 caliber Davis Industries semi automatic handgun. The Honorable Superior Court Judge James Blaney JSC. set bail for Mr. Nieves at $50,000 no ten percent.
Yajira Gomez age 37 of 1200 Jeffrey Street, Lakewood NJ. Ms. Gomez was charged with possession of CDS (Oxycodone) and possession of CDS (Oxycodone) with intent to distribute. Ms. Gomez was released on a summons.
The following individual(s) were arrested and charged as a result of the search warrant executed at 1405 Marshall Street, Lakewood NJ Street:
Terrence Tenner age 23 of 1405 Marshall Street, Lakewood NJ. Mr. Terrence Tenner was charged with possession of cocaine under one half ounce with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine, possession of heroin under one half ounce with intent to distribute, possession of heroin, possession of synthetic marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a loaded firearm specifically a .380 caliber Beretta semi automatic handgun during the commission of a CDS offense. The Honorable Superior Court Judge James Blaney JSC. set bail for Mr. Terrence Tenner at $100,000 no ten percent.
Mathew Tenner age 25 of 1405 Marshall Street, Lakewood NJ. Mr. Mathew Tenner was charged with possession of cocaine under one half ounce with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine, possession of heroin under one half ounce with intent to distribute, possession of heroin, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. The Honorable Superior Court Judge James Blaney JSC. set bail for Mr. Mathew Tenner at $75,000 no ten percent.
Taneeka Myers age 21 of 104 Deauville Avenue, South Toms River NJ. Ms. Myers was charged with possession of cocaine under one half ounce with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine, possession of heroin under one half ounce with intent to distribute, possession of heroin, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Ms. Myers was released on a summons.
Karen Gorman age 22 of 124 Darien Road, Howell NJ. Ms. Gorman was charged with possession of cocaine under one half ounce with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine, possession of heroin under one half ounce with intent to distribute, possession of heroin, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Ms. Gorman was released on a summons.
Assisting in the investigation as well as the execution of the search warrants were members of the Lakewood Township Police Street Crimes Unit, the Lakewood Township Police ESU Team, the Brick Township Police ESU team and the Ocean County Sheriffs Department K-9 Unit.
The media and public are reminded that criminal charges are merely accusations and that these defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
