Dowd Cup Hockey: Brick Memorial Defeats Monsignor Donovan

BRICK–Steve McDermott’s hat trick helped Brick Memorial past a tough Monsignor Donovan team in round one of the Dowd Cup.   MonDon’s J.C. Marouikis scored the lone goal in the first period.

In the second, Steve Bruno scored two goals and McDermott got his first while Maroukis and Rebecca Drake scored one a piece for MonDon, tying the game 3-3 heading into the third period.

In the third period, Brick Memorial scored 4 goals.   Brick eliminated Monsignor Donovan with the 7-4 win.
