HS Boys Basketball: Lakewood Defeats Toms River North to Advance to SCT Final

STAFF REPORT

LAKEWOOD–The Lakewood Piners’ (21-2)boys basketball team defeated Toms River High School North (22-3) to advance to the 2012-13 Shore Conference Tournament Boys Basketball final Saturday against Point Beach .

Point Beach defeated Manasquan 50-47 on Thursday.

Tyrice Beverette scored 20 points and Jared Crox scored 12 for the Piners while Solly Stansbury led the Mariners with a game high performance of 20 points.     Beverette shot 7 for 8 from the free throw line.

Tip off for the final will be at 3 pm, Saturday at Monmouth University.
