TOMS RIVER–Thomas G.(Tommy ) Farrell Jr. of Toms River, a senior linebacker and offensive lineman for Monsignor Donovan High School Griffin Football signed his NCAA Letter of Intent to attend and play for the Division II Skyhawks of Stonehill College in Easton, Massachusetts next fall.

Tommy was a co-captain for the Griffin team this past year and earned All-County and All-Davison Honors.  He will represent Monsignor Donovan this July in the U.S. Army All Shore Gridiron Classic at Toms River High School North.

At Monsignor Donavan High School, Tommy excels academically and is a true student leader. He serves as a Student Ambassador, Vice-President on Student Council and Sports Editor for the School’s television station MDTV.

When asked what directed him to Stonehill, Tommy responded “I really liked the campus and as soon as I heard about the academic reputation I was instantly hooked. Since I was little I’ve had the passion to peruse my football career, and at Stone Hill the football program reminds me of a family. And that’s very important to me. Coach Talley really cares for his players. Also I really enjoy the Boston area campus, there’s plenty to do and it’s a very loving and friendly environment.”
